About
Attendance software built for how organisations here actually work
MaxPresence is an employee attendance platform for organisations in Cameroon. Employees clock in and out from their own phones; administrators manage branches, departments, access roles and office boundaries from a web dashboard.
Who builds it
Maxwell Technologies PLC
MaxPresence is built and operated by Maxwell Technologies PLC, a technology company based in Cameroon. The same company runs Maxwell Training, which delivers cyber security, software engineering and digital marketing training in Douala.
How we build it
Four things we hold to
A record carries its own evidence
Where a clock-in happened and what confirmed it travel with the record. An attendance entry that cannot be checked is the problem we set out to solve, so we do not produce one.
We describe what the software does, exactly
The app asks a phone to confirm its owner using the fingerprint, face unlock, PIN or pattern that phone already uses. It does not recognise faces, and we do not describe it as though it does.
Both official languages, per person
English and French are not a setting chosen once for a whole company. Each person picks their own, in the app and in the dashboard.
The employer owns the record
Attendance data belongs to the organisation that collects it. We run the service that stores it on their behalf, and our privacy policy says plainly what is kept and for how long.
